Atlanta Film Series 25 YEARS OF INDEPENDENT FILM

Twenty years in and it shows. HorrorFest runs like a festival that knows exactly what it is: a packed weekend at 7 Stages in Little 5 Points, real horror audiences who show up to watch and talk, and organizers who make filmmakers feel like part of the event rather than content for it.

I had an amazing experience at the Atlanta Underground Film Festival! This was my first film festival as a filmmaker, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly, communication was great, and I really enjoyed meeting and connecting with other filmmakers. Seeing my short film Misfits on the big screen at 7 Stages Theatre was a moment I’ll never forget. Thank you to Kelsey, Amy, and the entire team for making me feel so welcome. I would absolutely submit again!

Truly an amazing festival. I've attended a lot of festivals, both as an audience member and a filmmaker. Atlanta Shortsfest is so special. I haven't seen one that curates to such a high degree while still feeling grounded and approachable, and also going out of the way to accommodate filmmakers and make them feel cared for—until I attended Atlanta Shortsfest. I am a fan for life. I will be back again and again.

From start to finish, the team behind ATL DOC demonstrated exceptional attention to detail, a deep respect for the craft of independent filmmaking, and outstanding communication and timeliness throughout the entire process. Every aspect of the festival felt thoughtfully curated and professionally executed.

What stood out most was the way they celebrated and supported filmmakers. ATL DOC created an environment that felt welcoming, uplifting, and genuinely appreciative of the creators and their work. Hosting us in such a warm and celebratory way made the entire experience not just memorable, but truly special.

Atlanta Spotlight Film Festival was such a wonderful experience. It is very well run. The festival organizers do an amazing job curating a wide range of beautiful and well-crafted films. They also create a supportive and joyful environment where filmmakers and audience members from all walks of life come together, enjoy connecting, and supporting each other's work. Atlanta Micro Short Film Festival was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The communication leading up to the festival was excellent, and the organizers were incredibly welcoming and supportive. The event was well run, the screening looked and sounded great, and it was inspiring to see such a wide variety of creative films. I also appreciated the opportunity to meet fellow filmmakers and be part of a community that genuinely celebrates independent cinema.
